My boyfriend has small fingers because of his disease he has so its hard to find a ring that will fit so I decided that I will get a ring and get it resized to fit his finger. How much does it cost to get a promise ring resized?

Where I work (Zales) ring resizing down costs 27.99 plus 4.00 for re-rhodium plating (if it is a white gold ring). To get it resized bigger depends on how many sizes because they have to add more metal. It starts around 31.99 and goes up from there.



You do not have to get the ring from Zales to get it resized, they will send it out for you either way. It generally takes 2 weeks (often less but with winter storms we've been telling people the full two weeks). If the ring has a jewelry protection plan the resizing is free (which I totally reccomend getting because especially for promise rings it usually costs less than the resizing). Generally they reccomend that channel diamond bands be sized only 2 sizes either way but I know I jeweler can go more so I am sure it would be the same elsewhere.

Many jewelry stores I've been to will resize for free as long as you purchased the ring at that store. Some rings are not able to be resized-because of the design on the ring or the material of the ring. Just ask the store before you buy to see how much the cost and also how long it takes to get back once it is sent off for resizing.

It depends from place to place like my ring to get resized after I had lost a lot of weight was $60, but before e had got married my husband had to make his ring smaller because it was originally my dad's and it only cost $10 to resize his.
