i posted this a couple mins ago but i was hopeing for more then 3 answers!!!

First, what do u guys think of a Bridal Lingerie Party?

I guess it's like a bachlorette party. where girls and the bride can get together have a fun night with all kinds of good snacks and wine while someone shows bridal lingerie for the bride and reg. cute or sexy or comfy (depending what kind u want more of) lingerie and pjs. I only heard of one girl on hear doing this? has anyone else? I heard they can bring make up artists to do up the girls.
do u think girls will really want a make up artist there?

Last question, I was told i could host it myself (meaning i could get a cutt of the commission) or i could truely have this as a party where i would have to pay a person to come and do this? is it totally tacky if i optto host it. being a MOH is expensive! : (

I think it is an awesome idea!! Maybe not invite people like mother of the bride and future mother in law etc because I am sure they do not want to see what the bride will be wearing night of the wedding.....lol. But yeah, wicked idea! I have never heard of it before, but I would love it. Having a bridal party these days seems to be about getting drunk, going crazy and making a fool outta yourselves. This would be a sophisticated (yet kinda naughty but cool - like when y'all were young) night in with the girlies. You could make it a pj themed - everyone has to come dressed in pjs! It could be like a grown up slumber party - sweets, crisps and champagne! I love the idea. If you want to host it, go for it. But you might miss out on some of the fun if you host it. Overall, it is a great idea! I would LOVE something like this for mine. Just make sure your bride doesnt embarass easily because if she does, this might turn out as a nightmare!!

Edit - lol, forgot to mention the make up artist. This would be an extra stroke of brilliance because it makes it more girly and fun. And you could all learn about your make up for the wedding day and once the make up artist has gone, you can all play about doing each other's faces for practise!!

I've never had one, but it sounds fun (to me!)... If your seriously thinking of doing it, I would make sure that everyone you are inviting to it is open to it. For example, the conservative aunts or mothers, may not enjoy it.

The make-up artist would be neat, expecially if it is a bachelorette party....wedding ideas!

I think these days, it would be fine if you hosted it. That makes it more personal...and the attendees may feel more comfortable with you as the hostess, instead of a stranger. You could also think about co-hosting it with a couple other bridesmaids or good friends of the bride and then split the costs...a commission.

Hi. I had a lingerie shower and we did it completely differently. My maid of honor let everyone know my lingerie sizes, and everyone brought either lingerie or something lingerie-related. It was a lot better than having some stranger come and show us lingerie. Also, my maid of honor set up a fun little game where everyone brought a sex toy or something sex related and the guest wrote instructions on how to use it. Then I had to guess who had given it to me. It was a really fun game with a lot of funny gag gifts. So, you can do that. But getting a cut of the commission from hosting a party? Are you a maid of honor or a grifter? These parties are about the bride, not you making money, or someone trying to sell you crap. Geez...

I've never had/been to one, but I think it would be fun! Hosting it yourself wouldn't be tacky at all as long as you know what you're talking about. However, it might be more enjoyable for you to get someone to come and do it, that way you can share in the giggles with your ladies!

I'd say for sure on the make up artist, who doesn't like to be done up?!

i had one and have been to quite a few. It's basically a time for all things girlie! Its more intimate with preferably closer girl friends and they get the bride gifts that are more intimate such as bras, panties, teddies, lotions, oils...whatever and then you can do bachelorette party type games but less hardcore.

You can serve cocktails and make it a nice time to spend time with your girls.

isn't a underclothes occasion purely an upscale pajama occasion. the two is effective its what you do at it that makes it relaxing no longer what you place on. How approximately getting makeovers or nails achieved via a expert. perhaps a lease a dancer or a masseuse, whats the cost shrink with out that its had to devise.

i've never been to one, but my mom suggested having one. we (meaning me, my mom, the girls standing in the wedding, and 2 or 3 friends) are getting a room at a casino and they are giving me lingerie, and we are going to gamble, drink and eat at the buffet all night for my bachelorette "party". idk if this helps but these are my plans. i'll probably do the invites of get my MOH to do them, but we came up with the details after my mom suggested it! congrats and good luck! it'll be fun!
