I changed my name a couple of years ago, what name will the vicar read at my wedding? Do they have to read your middle name? And will the Vicar refer to me as 'sam' instead of 'samantha' for instance?

Thank You

before the wedding, maybe during the rehersal, or when you talk to him about doing the wedding, they usually ask you how you want them to say the names. some people go with the full name (first, middle and last). some people only go witht the first name of each person. and some people even go with the first and middle names. in my wedding we our full names. you can use whatever you are comfortable with. congrats!! :) :)

they use your full name. it's your option if you want them to use your middle name or not. you should use your name as it is now, not your old name. if you want him to call you sam, tell him. I don't think it's a law that he actually says your full name, it just has to appear legally on the license.

Usually they say your full first name and middle name if you have one.

but you can request they read any way you like.
