I would never do that. Ex's are ex's for a reason, they are done, gone, and out of my life. It would be really stupid to risk damaging a marriage just to have one last go round with an ex. If I ever have that type of feelings for an ex (or any person other than my future fiance) I'd call off the engagement because I'd view it as a indicator that I'm not ready to commit to one person.

If you're going to do that, you shouldn't have accepted the proposal in the first place. Getting engaged IS how you close the dating chapter of your life.
