If I do a placecard holder, will guests know to take it as a favor at my wedding? Or is there something specific that needs to be done to ensure they know to take it?

The thing isn't that guest don't know, but most times guests dont WANT to take them.

What are you going to do with a single placecard holder? Even if they are those tiny picture frames when have you ever been sitting around going "man I wish I had a frame for this 2 inch picture....." (anything below 5x7 is worthless)

I would, but I also keep a napkin and program from the weddings I attend it's a little memory from that day.....eventually I do get rid of it, but for a while I hang on to it. I think you can do the place cards then during the reception just make mention to the people as you greet them that they are free to take the place cards if they'd like to have them, but they do not feel obligated to.

I doubt if they'll know, but I also doubt people will take them. What do you do with ONE placecard holder? Unless they're something with another use...?

I think most people won't take them. Even if the bride and groom said to take them, I probably wouldn't. I don't know what I would do with just one place card holder.

No, I don't think they do. We wouldn't. No offence, but it's not really a 'favour' - what will people do with them?
