Our wedding is June 14th. We still need to come up with wedding favors that will not cost alot, and something for the tables for the reception. Please let me know your ideas of something cute & cheap, but doesnt look cheap. Thank you!

Since most people seem to like edible favors you could go to Wal-Mart and get some circle tulle, ribbon that matches your colors, favor tags, a bag of Hershey kisses and plastic spoons. Put 2 kisses in the spoon, wrap it with tulle and on the tags have it say 'A spoonful of kisses from the Mr. & Mrs.' We did that last year as one of the favors at my friends wedding and for 100 guests it came to $15!

For the centerpieces you can go to Dollar Tree, pick up one wine glass per table, rose petals and a floating candle... If you want in the wine glass you can color the water in one of your wedding colors, put the candle in and scatter petals on the table and heavily around the base... That should come to roughly $7 per table and looks great.

well the dinner will be the most expensive and there is not much you can do about that - sometimes receptions let you host a carvery which is always cheaper I would strongly advise to forget about flowers as decorations, I am getting an artistic friend to decorate my church and reception by ribbons, pearls, bows, mirrors and large candles (much cheaper) as for the cake - i choose a cup cake decoration - much cheaper can even be done by a family member who makes cakes and can put icing on well I was very lucky to find an excellent photographer who has just started wedding photography recently and is therefore charging cheaper even though he is as good as the rest Please do not be afraid to ask people to help you with small practical things, everyone has a special talent and do take advantage as I found people are delighted when you ask a small favour like baking, decorating, doing Your hair/make up etc Have you can an engagement party yet? if you invite a load of people, they tend to give you great things like photo albums, crystal and money which helps alot also open up a savings account and start now !

I agree with eBay,I found 9 centerpieces for $30. Check $ store. Also you might want to go to Walmarts garden center buy some potted plants for a couple of dollars buy decorative containers to put them in from the $store and some votives to surround the container. After the reception you'll have something to plant in your garden.

I agree with looking on ebay. For my wedding we got candles on ebay and we also got heart candies with wedding sayings on them and put them inside a plastic heart candy holder thing. I'd say the candles were probably more expensive but any kind of edible favor would be great.

And for the tables for the reception, have you asked to make sure where your wedding is doesn't provide center pieces? For our wedding we are using glass bowls (that are provided) and we bought floating heart candles to go inside of it along with silk rose petals to lay inside the center piece and around it.

If they don't provide center pieces I'd say check ebay for that too. Or craigs list. (www.craigslist.com) I'm not sure if you've used it but you just choose your area and it has people that are selling things around you. Goodluck =)

You could make cookies, wrap each one in cellophane and give it out as a favor. For the tables, get a table mirror, place a votive candle in a holder that matches your colors, and scatter rose petals around it. It will look very elegant.

I don't know what your theme is, but when my friend got married in June she bought wildflower seed packets for favors. She punched two holes on top of the seed packet and ran ribbon through the holes with a message saying "Thank you for joining us on our special day."

Donate to a charity. No one has to know how much you donated. You can do whatever you can afford. then print out what you did 9excluding the price) on a nice scroll or on a card. People appreciate that...more so than a stupid picture frame or Jordan Almonds.

Ebay...look and see if others are selling thier wedding items, no one will ever know that they are second hand AND you help a fellow bride....then when finished, stick them back on ebay.
