The ring should come from your heart. If you really know her, you can probably find something she'll really love that won't break your bank account. My husband got my engagement ring on ebay for $40. He knows I hate diamonds, and he found me this beautiful emerald ring. He said he would have spent more, but he thought it was so pretty and that I'd love it. He was right. To this day, I've still never found a ring I love more.

If she loves you, she shouldn't care how much you spend.

Im going to be honest because my boyfriend and i have been talking about this for months. He is curious to what is idel. To me there really is not price its just how it looks. But the nice looking rings are usually around 2-3 grand. And you can sometimes find a better deal at like Sams, BJ's, Costco or like a pawn shop (not the ghetto ones, a dealer) and they usually are nice. I have told my boyfriend that anything over 5 grand would make me feel akward. I wouldnt want him to have to spend that much, but anything under a 1000 is usually not the best. So, its all about what you want to spend. Macys also has good deals.

I have a ring from Zales and it has held up fine over many years. The price sounds like a good deal.

If you can spend $2100, try looking at places other than Zales...unless thats the ring you really like... but if you are still shopping, I'd check less franchised jewelers and more personable ones...

Price doesn't matter, whatever is comfortable for you. If you think she is going to love it, then price shouldn't matter (unless it's too spendy). And where is the link?

Ask for it to be diamond tested in front of you. But $2100, seems on the less expensive for a 1ct. What is the clearity and color??? That will tell if you're getting ripped off or not. Here is a link where you can compare the clearity and color chart with that of your diamond.

Hope that helps!

The rule of thumb is that the ring should cost you anywhere between one and three months' salary. Looking at what you make, figure out your budget for the ring.

This should be a symbol that you are able to support her - hence the salary rule. This has changed a bit these days in that you probably won't be financially supporting here like the 'good ol' days' but you are going to be able to find a nice ring that you can afford, by using that rule.

Sounds decent. My ring was 1 &1/3 Kt. and I got it on clearance for $950. I think the original price was around 2,000. Shop around. I also noticed when we were shopping for ours that the prices online differ from when you actually go into the same store, for the same item. (Cheaper online) Good luck!

Whatever price you can afford. If your fiance does not like that then she has a problem. Your love and commitment are far more important than the cost of the ring. Frankly the price is nobody's business even hers.

Zales quality isn't that good. Shop around. Check out a jewelry exchange for a better deal on beter quality. Best of luck to you!

$2100 isn't bad for a ring, but there is no link for me to see it!

Not many people have the luxury of buying their fiancees $10,000 rings. If she loves you, she will love whatever ring you pick out!

Where is your link?

Sounds like a good price, but I don't like Zales. They have a lot of immitation man made jewelry.

Way too much. Why don't your go on the jewlery network on TV. You get the same thing for half the price, honest.

I bought a diamond ring and took it to the jewlers and he appraised it at 3 times what I paid for it, for real!

Whatever you can afford is the best price.

Save up for a few months at least.

The price is good if the quality is.
