Here are my tips and suggestions, I base these suggestions and tips under pretenses that you don't want a fancy formal wedding and aren't picky:

*Homemade food will be better than catered, Catering cost on average 6 to 7 a person (on the low end) and with 100 guest that means 600 or 700 dollars but homemade food served buffet style could cost only about 300 and feed the same amount of people.

*DIY Flowers and go simple, I am planning on buying white roses in bulk from samsclub.com and making my own bouquets, this will run you only 120 (for a single order including ribbion and floral tape) and watch a free video online and you just saved yourself a couple hundred dollars at least

*Shop online for dresses places like vponsale.com and wedding stores on ebay.com can make a dress that FITS YOU for about no more than 300 and they are dresses that cost 700 or 800 off the rack plus alterations((NOTE CHECK RATINGS BEFORE BUYING))

*ask around for a photographer and dj, I got a dj a year ago for my birthday and he only charged me 80 for 3 hours of playing, and did a better job than most people would who charge 500 or more so tip here is search craiglist and ask around that will be your best bet for finding inexpensive but great services

*if you aren't planning on doing the wedding and/or ceremony in a church when you are looking for a location look for a place that includes chairs and tables and things of that sort because it will be less stress on you, BUT if you find a place you love that is way cheaper than another that is all inclusive check on rental item prices and figure out which is more money and then decide

HOPE THIS HELPS!
