Question:
Fancy Paper for Wedding Programs?

I am looking for some nice paper to buy so I can print my wedding programs on them.
I could have sworn that in the past I saw this sort of stuff at office stores, but I've gone to all of them in my area and can't find anything that will work.
I recall having seen a paper with a very faint rose print on it in a light pink or cream color. Just light enough that you can see it, but not dark enough to conflict with the print on the paper. of course that was years ago before I was planning a wedding.

I'm going for a simple 8.5x 11 paper that will get folded in half sideways.
Does anyone know online sites that might have this?

I've seen papers that have strong colored borders with a plain center, but that won't fit what I need. Please, don't talk me out of a program, I am going to have one done - my mind is made up on that.

Thank you for your expertise and help on this ...

Walmart, Target, KMart, Kinko's, Staples, Office Max, Office Depot, Michaels, JoAnn Fabrics, Hobby Lobby. If you can't find anything in the stores try looking at their websites as there is usually a LOT more found online!

We didn't, but we also didn't have a traditional wedding ceremony or reception. After the ceremony I just got up on stage and announced what was going to happen. Any church wedding I've been to has had a program. Any non-church wedding (including: at the groom's ranch, at a nightclub, a small event hall, a winery, the bride's brother's house, and my own in a restaurant) did not have programs. In fact, I would say I've seen weddings without programs more than with. But I've also been to only a couple of weddings in a church. Most have been elsewhere. So, I would say that in a church programs are a necessity, but anywhere else they are optional.

I got some for my wedding programs at walmart. Its white on one side and is pink on the other with roses in the 4 corners. Its not fancy fancy but its nice and pretty. I wanted folded programs too so since it was plain on the back side i did the outside with the pink part and made the white the inside of it and put clip art of roses behind the text with a brown border around the entire inside. They're lovely.

If you have any Party Stores in your area check with them. Locally, we have Fun Party Store that sells everything you could possibly need for holidays, birthdays, etc. They also have wedding supplies. My daughter bought the paper for her programs (which she printed herself) there and they did have a faint rose print on the front. If I remember correctly, they are already folded. Check someplace like that, or possibly a craft store that sells wedding supplies.

Best wishes as you plan your special day!

I used simple resume paper that was purple to go with our colors. No background print or design...

I don't know what you're using for a program to do your programs. (Uh...did that make sense?) If you are using Microsoft Word you can go to "Format" and "Background" and use a picture or color or wording for the background. If you do this, you can simply buy the color paper you want plain then add your watermark and wording to the top.

Check out craft stores- Like Michaels, JoAnn's or Hobby Lobby. They have tons of paper and cardstock.... lots of 8.5"x11". I think I was at Michaels several times a week for the last couple of months before my wedding!
