Hey guys -- I'm considering proposing in a movie theater and wondered if this idea is cheesy. Here's the video that I want to recreate but wasn't sure if it can be pulled off. Please let me know your thoughts!!

I would propose at a movie theatre but on one condition.

Rent the space for 30 minutes between shows. Tell her you're going to see whatever the movie is on the door. You get to the empty theatre, and their playing the usual promos.

You're half paying attention, half talking. Suddenly you look at the screen and it says "[insert her name] will you marry me?" You get on your knee (with pants you don't mind ruining. (Remember the theatre floors?) Ask her yourself, "Will you marry me?"

It's private, it's unique, it takes some effort, and it could work beautifully if it's where you want to propose.

Your links did not work for me.

This does not sound like a good idea to me. A movie theater is dark so she will not get a good look at the ring or at your face. The movie is loud and other people are not going to apperciate you talking. This is not really a very romantic setting. I had a friend that put the ring in side of something to eat and the bride bit down on it, broke a tooth and then spit the thing out overboard on the Staten Island Ferry. Terrible Idea
