I think all the choices should be sentimental. For me, my 'something old' will be my deceased mother's engagement ring, worn on my right hand, 'something new' is my once-in-a-lifetime dress, something 'borrowed' will be a pair of pearl earrings from my beloved sister (my only sister and life-long best friend) and 'something blue' is a dark opal necklace that my fiance brought back for me from a trip to Australia just around the time we were deciding to get married.
Use things that have some sentimental value to you. Borrowed jewelry (think necklaces, earrings, a brooch attached to the bouquet ribbon) from moms and grandmothers are good choices for both 'old' and 'borrowed', and perhaps blue (sapphires, aquamarines). Think about a handkerchief wrapped around the stems of your bouquet that could be either 'old', 'new', 'borrowed' or 'blue'. One to-be-bride on here has said that she's having her new name embroidered in blue into the hem of her dress. I think that's pretty cool.

Something old - use your dress or your wedding band if they were passed down through your family...if not you can use a piece of jewelry or some other family heirloom.
Something new - your wedding dress, your wedding band if either are new, if not I'm sure you will be wearing something that is brand new
Something borrowed - you can borrow a piece of jewelry or a veil or tiara from a friend.
Something blue - get a blue garter, pin a blue hankerchief to the inside bust of your dress.

My something old was the handkerchief that was carried by 4 generations of women in my family.
Something new was my dress
something borrowed was a ring from my sister
something blue was the ribbon on the garter
I also had a brand new penny in the toe of my left shoe and a family coin from 1875 in the toe of my left shoe.
All of which I still have and will offer to my daughters

This is mine:
Something old: made my veil out of my moms
Something new: the dress
Something borrowed: grandmothers bracelet
Something blue: one garter had blue in it
Also, dont forget the penny in the shoe for good luck (try and find one from the year the bride was born)

Something old is often earrings. Does Mom or Grandma have pearls or small diamond studs, or anything that doesn't demand attention and is classic and classy?
Something new is anything new you're wearing.
Something borrowed is often those earrings again.
Something blue is usually the garter, if you're going that route.
The rhyme ends with a line many people don't know about: "And a sixpence in her shoe." Any coin store will have one.

I have seen used : Old - old garter belt.
New - the dress, or the "bun in the over"
Borrowed - something from a dear family member - earrings, pearls, necklace ect.
Blue - a blue dress pin, blue clips in the hair, flowers for the hair or the flowers that you carry

I am looking for things too! In the saying the old and borrowed are supposed to be from happily married women. I want to borrow off my mom but she is single. For the old you can go to an antique jewelry store, and for the new I am just using the dress.

For something old, ask your mother to let you wear her necklace she had as a baby. I gave my daughter the locket i wore when I was about 3 months old. For something new, the wedding gown should suffice. For something borrowed, maybe a pair of earings, a pinkie ring, your friends favorite cologne, or whatever. For something blue, a garter.

Something old can be a hankerchief of her mother or grandmother. something new can be a small piece of jewlery (bracelet, anklet) or perfume. Something borrowed can be a garter or small jewelery. Something blue can be a garter, change purse or small purse (to hold vows and hankerchief in).
