I used a wedding planner. It worked out well and I could relax knowing everything would be taken care of. I sat down with her and told her what I basically wanted, then we looked through her extensive albums for the flower combinations, the wedding cake I liked, the way I wanted the venue decorated, the best photographers in Orange County...everything. She ordered everything I chose (there were many things to choose from) and when the day came I knew everything would be in place without any hassles. It's worth it!

I did my daughte'rs and if I had it to do over again, I would hire a wedding planner. Just so much work and so many details.

Using a wedding planner is not for everyone. If you are tight on time and want everything done correctly, from the wedding invitations right on down to the reception and everything in between, have a wedding planner. Even if you just use them as a runner to take care of errands that you don't have time for, then a wedding planner might be worth hiring. But, if you are a hands on person and want to have your hand in everything and have it done to your specifications and only yours, then you should take care of the planning and execution yourself. The great part about having a wedding planner is that you have a lot less stress, but only if you delegate to the person you hire. Get references to make sure this person is bonded, has actually done wedding planning before and talk to brides who have hired him/her and worked with them. You might actually want to go to the point of talking to some of the venues who have worked with this planner to get their view of how the reception flowed, if there were any problems and so on. So, what I'm saying is that you need to hire a responsible person that you will entrust with your dreams. Good luck!

Wedding planners are not for everyone.

Type A people who does not trust anyone can do anything better for them, should not use one.

A lot of people do not have time or do not want to do the work or is afraid of the work. Wedding planners work for their money, a good one, the bride and groom does not know when things go wrong. Things go wrong in all weddings. They take the stress. Wedding Planners has relationship with vendors and can get more for your money.

I did not, for budget.

My husband and I both liked planning the wedding together.

We did the planning.

Planning a wedding is not for everyone.

Some people like hiring a pro wedding planner because it's helpful and because someone else can do the legwork.

I didn't have a wedding planner and don't regret it. Honestly, wedding planning really isn't THAT hard ... a wedding is as complicated as YOU choose to make it. If things are getting too overwhelming for you, then take a step back and decide what you can simplify or do without.

If we could of afforded one for our daughter’s wedding I would of used one.

Fortunately our wedding photographer was a mini planner. She had the whole day on a time line and kept us going. She had contacts in every area of weddings and gave us contacts to check out.

Most women haven’t planned a formal dinner or party. Now they need to plan one for 100+ people. Lots of details are forgotten or not even thought of. It is over whelming.

My friend’s daughter spent so much time planning the reception she didn’t think through the ceremony. It was five minutes long. The walked up, said their vows and walk out.

Your wedding is the Special day of your life and you want it to be special, personal and romantic. You probably have lots of tips about what you do want and what you don't, but probably don't quite know where to start, to make your dream wedding a reality. It may seem slightly impersonal to hand over the organization to professional wedding planners but as the time of your wedding draws near, your wedding planner will have become your new best friend, taking the stress out of all the last minute arrangements and steering you gently through all the decision making. Choosing a qualified Wedding Planners in Delhi can take the stress away from you and ensure that your wedding will be one that not only suits your budget but also meets your preference.

Here are six reasons why you should hire a wedding planner to organise your wedding for you.

1. Saving Valuable Time

Planning a wedding can take a huge amount of time, there is so many information to attend to, so many suppliers to co-ordinate. Some statistics estimate that a wedding takes over 250 hours to plan - that's a whole month of 8 hour days! Most of us don't have that much time free, however far ahead we start planning our wedding, which leads to late nights agonizing over details, lunch hours filled with phone calls and no time to relax at all in the run-up to the wedding. So by the time the day arrives we are fatigued and probably a little on the grumpy side! Here's the thing - the wedding planner will take most of the load off your shoulders. She'll put in the time and you will just have to find the time to make the big decisions with her advice.

2. Experience and Knowledge

Wedding planners have done this before. They know precisely what needs to be done and have efficient systems in place. They know the best providers in your local area and can quickly translate your tips and dreams into a reality. Unless you have planned a wedding or two before, you are bound to make mistakes, forget an important detail, or struggle to work out exactly what is needed. A wedding planner already knows and will ensure that everything runs smoothly and nothing is forgotten.

3. Support

It is easy to get confused with all the selections that need to be made, especially when your other half isn't really interested in color combinations or the details of the wedding favours and leaves it all up to you. Your wedding planner is a steadying and soothing support, who can guide you through all the selection making and tell you honestly what does and doesn't work. By the end of the wedding planning she will be your new best friend.

4. Keeping to The Budget

Weddings can be very expensive. You might think you are saving money by doing it all yourself and that hiring a wedding planner is an extra unnecessary expense. Think about it this way: a wedding planner is used to working to a budget, she can keep a strict eye on the budget for you, get discounts that you wouldn't otherwise have access to, know where to save money and where to splash out. In the end wedding planners tend to save more money than they cost and get you far more value for money than you could manage alone.

5. The Details

It is the focus to detail that makes a wedding really unforgettable, all those little extras. Your wedding planner brings an experienced eye for detail to the job and will ensure that all the last minute touches are perfect, something that you would hardly have time for yourself on your wedding day when you are busy dressing and preparing for the big moment.

6. Stress

Planning a wedding is one of the most stressful things you can do - not only are you orchestrating a major event but you are making the most special day of your life - a lot of pressure to pile on yourself. Handing over the organisation to a wedding planner removes a large amount of stress from your life, so that you can actually enjoy your engagement and be a relaxed and happy bride on the day itself.
