Question:
What kinds of wedding favors are easy to do in bulk?

I'm having a huge wedding, and like the idea of having something personal, but I don't want it to cost a ton. I have a pink and green theme and don't necessarily want the favors to be pink since I want both girls and guys to enjoy them. Help! Thanks.

Here were my favors/table cards:

I bought the cones for a very reasonable price from

http://durapak.net/boxes-cases.htm

Then I bought SnoCaps from WalMart to avoid any shipping costs or possible melting. Tied with ribbon from Michaels.

I know these don't match your color scheme, but you could try searching colored candies here:

http://www.groovycandies.com/

You could mix green & pink Jelly Belly's.

I would pass on anything personalized. Guests (other than maybe your immediate family) aren't going to want anything with your name or wedding date on it.

Favors aren't a necessity and if you're not going to give them "just because", then just skip it. OrientalTrading.com has a bunch of appropriate items, but a lot of it would also classify as "junk" to your guests, personalized or not. I mean really, what would most people do with a single glass that was engraved with your name and wedding date on it? They probably wouldn't use it, but at the same time, they'd feel obligated to take it home, where it would collect dust and take up space on a shelf. Honestly, unless your favors are edible, I'd pass on them.

Some good, easy to do edible favors are: truffles (you can buy in bulk from www.truffletrolley.com), hershey kisses with sticker labels on the bottom, M&Ms in your colors (personalization is costly and not really necessary) packaged with a nice tag,

Or, a wallet-sized professional picture of you and fiance in a frame (doesn't have to be expensive, can be acrylic or plastic).

Go to www.kateaspen.com - I gave my guests glass drink coasters for my wedding and they were a huge hit. They come with their own personalized little box in an assortment of colors that you pick out. My mom has a trophies, engraving and gift shop and we got them at cost. Let me know if you need help or would like to order some - she can beat any price.

Good luck on the wedding!

Have you considered making this a "Pink Wedding" and donating what you'd spend on favors or the proceeds of the sale of your favors to breast cancer? Kate Aspen has some cute favors cards (and a bunch of other favors too but I happen to like these) that explain the donation and the cards have seeds imbedded so the guest can take them home and plant a flower. Just a suggestion that aleviates the favor no one ever knows what to do with after the wedding. Edible favors are great fo that reason too. Just a thought.

This site sells favors at affordable prices. Making your own wedding favors can be time consuming and stressful at times. I bought some favors from this website and I got an email with a discount code. Try this code "twflyer".

Go to a cheap store like Goodwill and find some big, old-fashioned glass jars and candy holders. Buy retro/nostalgic candy in bulk from somewhere like candywarehouse.com (just google 'bulk candy). Throw in a sign saying help yourself. People don't keep or remember favors but they love candy/mints on the way out!

I plan on getting frosted take out boxes. Then I plan on putting either chocolate truffles or fortune cookies that are like a bride or groom. Cheap and easy little DIY project. I might even put chopsticks on it. Good luck!

You could try mint tins with mints. You could have your names on the tins or even the mints.
