I just had a party and got personalized invitations from this place here

They were good price and quality and very accommodating. I actually liked there designs, but wanted something specific, so I just emailed them and told them what I wanted and they created something for us. Actually did a couple of different versions and they did the size that we wanted.

many wedding invitations can be folded into an envelope, reducing the amount of paper (and cost) you'd have to deal with. this site had some cute ones: http://www.envelopperinc.com

you could also make colorful designs and purchase vellum envelopes, so the color shows through when people receive their invites. a super cheap place to buy envelopes and paper: http://www.envelopemall.com/

lastly, depending on the size of your wedding, you can hand make your invites using scrapbooking or stamping techniques. this can be expensive if you have to buy all the supplies new, but it is incredibly personal and totally unique. (plus, you can get the bridal party to help put them together).

have fun!

the e-mail and telephone is a awesome option and it may avoid a lot. actually everyone both has an e mail or telephone to RSVP. For the older travellers you may do RSVP playing cards hand-crafted with the postage in case you imagine they'd particularly. you may also do submit card RSVPs because the postage is a vast more reasonable. you may make your human being image postcards and it will be more reasonable then the onces from the invite company. i became wondering onluine and calling too! keep money time and prepared for the mail!

I had a photo of the two of us printed onto "oversized postcards" at http://vistaprint.com for £30 ($60 - and they supply worldwide) for 150 cards (and free envelopes). I then bought som 90gsm vellum from eBay, and printed the text onto this. I cut it to the size of the postcards, punched two holes in the top, and thread them together with red ribbon (also found on eBay).

The total cost of each invitation was about 30p (60c)

I am a member at americangreetings.com and use the create & print option to make my own cards. It cost 14.95 per year and I can make unlimited greeting cards, Christmas cards and invitations, as well as send e-cards. I made my own wedding invitations from this site. You can use any card you find on the site, and change the words to whatever you like.

Try http://www.bjoyfulinvitations.com. You can have your invitations custom designed to make them even more personal and romantic.

Some invitation ideas are a deckle edge invitation with a ribbon tied around it or an invitation with a wrap around it.
