The wedding is this June and I still need to have a few more ideas for the wedding. Our colors/theme is brown, pink and mossy oak. Since mossy oak things are so expensive we have added the brown to help it out. Now I have candles as centerpieces with this mossy oak wallpaper wrapped around them, and I am making my ring bearer pillow outta mossy oak fabric. We are going to have pink and brown balloons on the ceiling to make it not seem so BLAH... Any ideas for decorations and the wedding would help. My dress is not camo, but I am wearing boots. My bridesmaids dresses are brown and they are carrying pink flowers (i hope). The men are wearing tan or pink shirts with a mossy oak tie, and my fiance is wearing an all camo shirt with blue jeans and camo boots, o and a camo hat.... my ringbearer is only 6 months so he is wearing a camo onesie with blue-jean shorts :) the flower girl wanted to be girly so I am letting her wear a white dress with a brown sash and a pink flower on it. ... Send me some ideas PLEASE.. Thank you :)

Okay, addressing bouquets I suppose would be a good idea:

This bouquet of roses is simple and would fit with a more casual theme, keeping the outdoors in mind: http://www.newforestpalms.co.uk/shop/images/uploads/ivyrosepink_sml.jpg. Yours could be bigger than the bridesmaids with white roses, too.

Next...these mossy oak napkins could be mixed with plain brown and pink and white ones to stretch your budget further: http://www.greengablesgeneralstore.com/index.php?p=product&id=8&parent=8.

What about some garlands that are literally made of spanish moss and other natural materials to decorate?

Also, acorns could be placed around your candles to make them a little more "realistically natural," perhaps even with flower petals or some sort of pink with it.

Since your wedding is outdoors themed, the guests could throw birdseed or perhaps blow some sort of hunting call whistle while you leave -- bird whistles here: http://www.windycitynovelties.com/11438p/warbling-bird-whistles.html?s_cid=FRO11438

Favors could be personalized matchbooks, to kind of go with an outdoors hunting/camping theme--just put your own labels on matchbooks with like ______ + _______, the perfect match! and your date on them... those you could print mossy oak (free pics from online!) with pink writing!

Good luck and best wishes!

Hi and congratulations!

OK...all the colors don't seem to be working.

~ The brown dresses with pink flowers -- good.

~ Your groom - OK

~ The guys: I would think that the pink shirts will not fly with country boys. And besides, a pink shirt will really not go well with the mossy oak tie. So definitely go with the TAN SHIRT for the guys. It will go much better with the mossy oak tie....for sure.

~ Wedding decorations? Where is this going to be? If outside, you might want to get an arch and decorate it with fake or real flowers. If you live in the country, then use what you have around you! Do you have some wildflowers growing nearby? Use canning jars and put some wildflowers in them. Very cute and easy.

How about having your flower girl scatter leaves as she walks down the aisle rather than rose petals? You can find leaves in any craft store, probably in brown, tan ( maybe even some pink). At the reception site how about getting some of those fairly large pinecones ( I don't know if a craft store would have them, I live in an area with tons of pine trees. If you do, you could start collecting them now) Get some tiny width pink ribbon, maybe 1/4 inch, tie some little bows and hot glue them onto the pinecones. You could put several around the candles or just scatter them on the tables. How about placing some small miniture deer and squirels and maybe ducks.. on the tables as well, Group them with a few pinecones or maybe use some of the same leaves the flower girl uses on the table too, you could just scatter them. There is a website that has camo napkins and cups

http://www.arkansasduckhunter.com/camoweddingsupplies.asp

and here's a website that has camo ( with pink) guest book and garters

How about getting some camo design ribbon and making a bow to put on your knife to cut your cake with and around you and your grooms champagne glasses that you are going to toast with?

Good Luck!

I think that you should just go with the pink and brown colors because the mossy oak just doesn't seem to fit in. Or just go with the mossy oak and pink. You don't have to have exact mossy oak things just try to find something less expensive but close to it.

you should see if Larry the cable guy could entertain the guests during dinner.. or maybe put "gitter done" on the invitations. i am sorry if your hubby is going to wear JEANS to his wedding i wouldnt wear a big expensive dress.. it will look.. how do i put this TACKY!! i am sorry. :) i really do hope it turns out. you either go all the way with tuxs or you can get a coctail dress because it will look like polar oppsites.

no offence i'm just interested, how is the ring bearer getting down the aisle if he's only 6 months? he's probably not even crawling, and how is he holding the pillow?
