1. When was your wedding?
December 18th 2009
2. Did you cry during the ceremony?
I choked up while reading my vows. I could barely make it through them ha ha
3. Did your mother cry?
I honestly don't know, I was so focused on my husband I didn't pay any attention to anyone in the audience. She cried a couple times during the planning though.
4. What was your wedding song?
I Will Be There by Steven Curtis Chapman
5. What did you serve for food?
We had an appetizer and dessert reception. there was fruit, cheese, and veggie trays, a variety of dips, and for dessert we had our wedding cake, a chocolate fountain with marshmallows, pretzel sticks, and fruit. we got so many compliments on the food. and nothing ran out. it was the one thing that went completely smoothly.
6. How many bridesmaids/groomsmen were there?
Three bridesmaids three groomsmen plus a flower girl and a ring bearer.
7. What were your wedding colors?
Ice blue, silver, and cream.
8. How did you have your hair?
I have long hair and I feel the most confident when its down. so I wore it in big curls (think miley cyrus) with a crystal headband.
9. Did anything bad/scandalous happen? (by scandalous I mean things like a guest wearing white, proposing, announcing pregnancy, etc.)
I originally had 4 bridesmaids one of whom being my future sister-in-law. she was a nightmare to deal with. she had a catty comment about eveything I did. she tried to keep certian people off the guest list because she didnt like them, she refused to wear the dress I picked out for eveyone, she said it made she look fat, and about a month before the wedding I found out she was running her mouth about my relationship with my husband, she said she would give us 6 months before we seperated. after hearing that I had enough so I kicked her out of the wedding party. that caused some definite tension to say the least.
10. Where did you honeymoon? How long was it?
We honeymooned in New York City for a week. It was incredible! neither of us had been to a big city before so it was amazing seeing so many new things and our hotel room was so luxurious. i would give anything to go back!
11. What was your favorite part of the wedding?
The ceremony. It went perfectly! and you could just feel the love in the room. It was the happiest day of my life.
12. Your least favorite?
the reception. I'm not a big party person to begin with so it was bound to be awkward for me even if eveything was exactly the way I wanted. (which it wasnt)
13. How many guests were there?
about 105
14. Was it adult only or did you allow children?
children were allowed mainly because both our families have a lot of small children and it would have been inconvienent for everyone to bann kids.
15. Did you guys have bachelor/bachelorette parties?
My husband went out with his Dad and some friends after our rehearsal dinner, they went to the Winking Lizard for drinks. very tame. I didnt have one at all, like i said, not a party person. I just hung out at home with my bridesmaids and made cupcakes.
16. Is there anything you would have done differently?
The reception! I wish I had put more thought into decorations and the atmosphere. It wasnt anything like I was picturing. which was disappointing.
