You could always post to Craigslist.org. I did this for my photographer, and found a decent one with a nice portfolio (and not too expensive).

Read the whole reply before you decide that I'm insane..... Check out your local karaoke shows and see if there's anyone running one that has the personality you like...they'll often accept side gigs, like deejaying a wedding for a much lower fee than someone who earns his living doing weddings... be sure to go over music with him to make sure he knows what mood you're after and if there are songs that absolutely should not be played, write those down! If there are special favorites, you may have to provide some of the music because a karaoke host often has a smaller library than a "DeeJay"
Or... listen to your local college radio station and if one of their airstaff catches your ear, call and see if they're available, you may have to rent the equipment, but a college student might work for very little cash just for the experience.... and, as with the question about your dress, inquire with local theatre companies...they may know the perfect person...Good Luck!
