I need Valentines Day gift ideas for my deployed husband.?

My husband is a marine and is serving in Iraq on our first Valentines Day together and he won't be home til January 2009. I need some romantic ideas of what I can get/do for him to let him know that he means the world to me. We are expecting our first baby girl in May so sexy body pics are out.. LOL.. Hi! Congratulations on your baby! My fiance' is deployed right now also, so I know what you are going through. He is a Marine also. I would definitely suggest comfort things from home....like maybe print out a bunch of pictures that ya'll have taken together over the course of your relationship and put them in a small photo album. I wouldn't send anything heavy or awkward b/c he will just have to carry it back! I send things that I know he can't get over there, but loves (food, candy, etc...) Anything homemade that is from you....have you had a sonogram (sp?) lately? Maybe make a copy of the sonogram and somehow make that into a Valentine.

Do y'all have Skypes on your computers? If so, you could send him a small, inexpensive web cam (if you don't already have one). I guess it just depends if he has internet on his personal computer or not! It's the best thing ever for us....if you need more info. about it, feel free to email me!

You're expecting a baby! That's great. You said sexy pics are out, but there are some amazing photographers who can take some very tasteful pics of you and airbrush them LOL Cause my first thought was revealing pics wearing nothing but his dog tags. What better way to show him he's all that matters on Valentine's Day? ;)

Send him something from the heart, and he'll know he means the world to you. You could send him pictures of the two of you together, a homemade book of inside jokes you have, copies of the latest sonogram from the doctor...really, it will have to be small so he can carry it...



When mine was deployed last year, I just asked him what he wanted. He was craving tuna and those mini sausages in a can, so I sent him those. Now he's in school to guard an embassy so when he gets on post I am sending my marine some of my lingerie with my perfume on it, and then pics of me in it....

Take the time and make him a homemade Valentine. Lace doily and all. Write some sweet words from the heart on it and mail it along with some good ole chocolate chip cookies.

It will mean more to him than anything else. Promise.
