I had a really hard time finding any inviations that I liked for my wedding and I looked at thousands of them online and at stores, and and all of them were pretty expensive. I ended up going with a guy from Ebay, I took a chance because his prices were so good and he designed us a fall invitation that was amazing, the material that he printed on was a high quality card stock (looked like all the other wedding invitations we had viewed) and he worked with us from beginning to end on the design layout ink colors and everything, I saved him as a favorite seller and I will post the link below for the listing he has up right now. He has a lot more then the listing shown and he'll design something specific for your wedding if you want. He's so easy to work with! We got all (150 of each) invitations, envelopes, return postcards, seals, thank you notes, envelopes and return address labels for $89.00. It was an amazing deal that I could not beat anywhere, he was fast and the work was beautiful.

He sent us six different proofs and worked with us until it was exactly what we wanted, he even called and discussed it on the phone with us and gave us some good ideas as well. Then we went to Office Max and had them print a picture that my aunt had painted on see through vellum (150 for $28 and they cut them for free) and we secured that over top of the invitation with a ribbon. I had looked into making my own invitations as well but this guy on ebay was even cheaper then I could have made them myself, He doesn't have any listings posted right now, but if you contact him, he'll make one for you and if you scroll down you can see some of his options, I'm also not sure if his pricing has changed at all, but it's worth a shot! Good Luck!

First of all, 100 guests does NOT equal 100 invitations. Many will be couples or families. The first way to save some money is narrow the guest list down and determine how many invitations you need so you don't order too many! Probably something like 50 or 60 will do. You should be able to get something very nice with your $300 budget at that quantity.

Be careful what you order online. It is smart to order samples first. We have had brides come into our studio with cheap online purchases trying to "fix" them...not good, usually we wind up having to start over.

Best of luck to you. If you wanted to check out my company, the URL is paperwhitespress.com. The coupon code "happydance" will get you 10% off storewide. We also sell DIY paper products as well as our invitation line.

I used coupons to buy DIY kits at 1/2 price then I bought some supplies and dressed them up. I got LOTS of compliments on them. I had the invites, RSVP cards, and envelopes for both. The main invite was lasercut with the word "LOVE" on top and some fancy scroll designs. I bought a backing paper in one of my wedding colors so the lasercut design stood out more. I bought a ribbon-hole punch & ribbon and dressed up the invites with ribbon and I had a little rhinestone in the middle for some sparkle. I know this sounds like a kids art project, but it came out REALLY nice. And I figured out that I spent just under 90-cents per invite (not including postage). I had looked at invitation places but they all wanted so much money for them. Invites often get tossed after the wedding, the only people that might keep 'em are the couple and their parents. I couldn't justify spending $3-$5 for cheapies or more for nicer ones when I could do something pretty myself for soooo much less (and when you need to buy 150 invites, even the cheap ones were coming in about $500 to have someone else make 'em).

Go to a scrap booking place.

Paper of all wonderful colours and textures is around $2 or $3 a sheet.

A normal invite should fit 2 to 3 on a page.

So for 100 guests, if you had a primary coloured paper and a backing colour, that is 2 x $3 =$6 for each 3 invites. so around $198.

Then you can buy pretty stickers, or stamps or ribbons and things to decorate them. Print them out yourself, you may have to buy a new cartridge of ink, or maybe a refill for a cartridge.

Should easy be able to do it for less than $300 :)

or look around online.. i just found this site thats fairly cheap

for unique invitations go here (it's where I got mine)

http://www.bottlemeamessage.com/

scroll down on the left handside you will invitations, click on weddings and it will take you to their wedding and bulk buying section.

for a hundred depending on what you chose you will spend about $300 (without seperate rsvp cards, you could just include at the bottom of the invitation). Shipping to you is free and everybody loved them.

for a bit extra you can even provide them with your guest list and they mail them out directly for you. Also for even cheaper option they have a DIY kit, they send you the printed invites and all the stuff and you assemble yourself.

Hi. Try invitesite.com. They make invitation "kits" which means the price is more reasonable. Most of their papers are eco-friendly. They arrive ready to assemble and the designs are awesome.

Tip: Its a good idea to throw an assembly party with friends and family. Many hands make for less work. Good luck!

print your own. get the card stock or paper you like. Make them your self. We did. I bought paper. That I liked. I put a fade picture of us on it. Over that. I put down what i wanted it to say. Then in the left hand bottom corner. I added the same photo. Plus flowers in the other 3 corners. A lot of people are doing it that way now days.

Look around the internet, see if any designs are available, try office max or some other supply store to see if you can buy a program that offers a wedding invitation template.

You can try a craft store. I bought my invitations at Michael's craft store. And they sell stuff from "Bride" Magazine, which you can also find at Brides.com. I bought allof my invitations for about one hundred dollars. Then you can print them yourself, which may not be the easiest, or you can take them somewhere like Kinko's and have them do the printing for you. Hope this helps!
