how to address wedding invitation for army families?
Four answers:
MS

HUSBAND is military: PFC and Mrs. John Smith

WIFE is military: Mr. John and Major Mary Lastname.

BOTH are Military/Same last name: Sgt. John and PFC Mary Smith.

BOTH are Military/DIFFERENT RANKS: Major John Smith and Colonel Mary Smith.

One is military/different last names: Mister Harvey Wallbanger and Colonel Mary Smith.

If you're inviting the entire family (kids, the live-in mother or maiden aunt) add "and Family" at the end.

Enjoy!

You can use their rank or Mr, Mrs or whatever. It really doesn't matter, though for the sake of etiquette I would put their rank such as:

Major and Mrs Woodcrofte are invited to.....

Remember if their children are invited you need to be clear so something like:

Major Woodcrofte and Family are invited to.....

My dad, uncle, 2 godfathers, grandad and friend's parents are all army or ex-army and most people didn't care how they were addressed on invites as it was an Honor to get one anyway!

Have a good wedding!

I think the correct way is this:

Sergeant First Class John Smith and Mrs. Jane Smith

(Same for Colonel, Major, whatever.)

I assume that's what your question was asking?

The first poster is correct, or you could put the Soldier's rank instead of "Mr" or "Mrs" as in "Major and Mrs John Smith". If it were my husband, he would prefer Mr. to his military title, quite honestly.
