Best places and ways to advertise my wedding planner and event business? ?

I recently set up my own event business 'Platinum Events' after planning and organising various events like concerts, banquets, parties and a wedding.
My dilemma now is advertising is expensive but it must be done. So I need help in picking the best places and ways to advertise, especially to brides to be. Please help me.

Plus if you know anyone who needs our services or if you do. Please let me know it would be very helpful.

social networking sites like facebook are the best place to start - i get so much wedding related stuff because that's what ive been liking recently :) one of my 'friends' actually lets other businesses advertise on their wall (Bridal Tales),so if you get on the magazine pages etc then you can use their influence



any bridal magazine - get an ad in every major publication.maybe try to get an article about you.if any of these magazines have a real life bride section then they may be featured,just ask nicely that the bride mention you.if you're in the UK,your first stop HAS to be 'Wedding Ideas' - every b2b i know carries this fab mag in their bag!



don't underestimate wedding fayres either - you may have missed this year but definitely contact about next years schedule



yes,it's expensive but it'll be worth it in the end.maybe draw in some clients with some special offers and spread the word that way

You should create a brochure and see if you can put them in places like event halls or other wedding type places. Also you should make a website. I know you can do them fairly inexpensively. Get testimonials and pictures, also list prices. I'm trying to plan my wedding and there's nothing more annoying than going on a website and there being little to no pictures and no estimates. You could always put "prices negotiable" or "sample price, prices may vary depending on package". It's so disappointing to fall in love with something and not know the price or even a ball park and find out it's way too much. So at least list some kind of prices.



Also see if you can get your site on local search sites. I can search "venues in ohio" and I get a list of places. Same with say flowers, or even event planner. See if you can get your info into a local search engine/site. Or what about putting your brochures in local bridal boutiques.

I think one of the best places would be an arts and crafts store. A lot of brides go there to make their own decorations and such. Also if you are able to find the websites that deal with planning a wedding like theknot.com you can see if you can post an advertisement on them.



If you have any malls those will be a good place to or a town center bulletin board.

as i am planning a wedding right now i have to say if you go on wedding wire or other wedding websites brides go nuts! Were looking for everything right there in front of us. wedding wire helps plan everything. and has a place to advertise yourself. i would start there. just google wedding websites and see what you can find and most the time they are free so you wont have to pay to advertise :)

Start with what you have - FACEBOOK! Make a Facebook Page for "Platinum Events" and invite everyone you know that you think can be a prospect client to like it. Local newspapers always have a bridal section once a year. Call them to be sure to reserve a place for your advertisement. You need to network. Contact wedding cake makers, bridal shops, invitation stores, tux rental shops, florists and the like. If you take their cards and they take yours, you can have a great business referral relationship with these people.
