Question:
Ideas for using Pink & Grey as my colors?

Has anyone either had these 2 colors for their wedding, or, know of anyone who has? I'm NOT thinking light pink/grey, due to not wanting ot look like a baby shower (plus, I'm getting married in September of next year).

This is the dress I was thinking of having my bridesmaids wear:

My sister (Maitron of Honor) will be wearing the dress in Pewter & the other bridesmaids will be in either Azela or Watermelon (not sure which as I need to see in person which color looks the best with it) The girls will all have a sash that is in the opposite color (my sister in the pink & the others in the pewter). The groomsmen will all be having black tuxes with grey vests & a pink boutineer (sp?)

What type of decor , flowers, etc. could I have that won't be too "in your face" (not too bright ), yet not too drab? Are there any grey colored flowers that look good in a bouquet, or, do you thinkI should have them carry pink flowers and have a grey ribbon tied around them?

Forget the tuxedos. If this is a day wedding, this is the perfect opportunity to wear grey morning coats or strollers. (Tuxedos are only appropriate for evening weddings.)

I will tell you, you will have a better time looking for pink (whatever color pink you choose) and a platinum.

and for flowers do pink with pewter colored accents like crystals and ribbons

While your colors are a wonderful choice don't go overboard. It will be more eyes appealing if you break things up with other color or colors in small ways just to give the eyes a break. Don't be afraid to step back and look at it in the big picture. Always consider other opinions when planning and have fun.

I love pink and grey together. I've never seen it at a wedding but I think it's a great idea.

For flowers - if your girls are wearing grey, have them carry pink flowers to contrast.

for the bouquet - definitely have them carry pink flowers tied w/a grey ribbon!

as for decor - in the church you could have a grey runner with pink flower petals sprinkled on it. you could swing/tie/hang grey and pink ribbons to each of the pews. chairs at the reception could be covered with pink fabric and tied with a grey bow, or vice versa. for flowers, you could place pink flowers in a gray-tinted vase. or do smaller arrangments incorporating gray marbles and pink flowers.

good luck - hope you liked a couple of my ideas!

I think it's fine but you should have them all in the same dress. The MOH wearing something different is really over the top and not necessary. Everyone will know who the MOH is. Why does she need even more attention. It's your day and a different color dress will draw attention to her in the photos. The attention should be on you.

Why Angela, pink and gray are just smashing colors. Why, I believe I had gray at my wedding, so many years ago. My mother in law, may she rest in peace, wore an absolutely stunning silver gown. And, my mother, also dead, wore an elegant pink dress with a plunging neckline and spaghetti straps, with a pink jacket that came off after the first dance, and a few cocktails. We had beautiful pink and white roses, but azelas would be smashing as well. You bring back such lovely memories of my wedding, the happiest day of my life. My second happiest day, by the way, was the day I got divorced. Good luck to you my peach.
