Go to the knot.com website for the games. there are several that are pretty good.

Personal touches could be the gifts you select for prizes. A friend does jewelry[she was just honored in a magazine for one of her designs], and she made bead bracelets in several colors using some leftover beads, they were cute and pretty.

Another went and got candles in glass holders, with flowers as their scents. There was a label on the top of them that had the flower printed on it. I got rose.

Rivers says have a salad luncheon. Have several kinds of salads, mix ones that are cheaper with those that are not. Perhaps a green salad, perhaps a taco salad, macaroni salad, 7 layer salad. Rivers had one recently that was spinach, with cheese and bacon in it, with a bacon dressing. It was good, and I went home with the leftovers, and sliced some strawberries into it. Yum.

and some or most of these can be done, or mostly done the day before. Have a variety of crackers available, have iced tea, and you have a "ladies who lunch" luncheon.

Some ideas I have seen: make a custom English style hat for each guest [or have them make their own as a shower favor. Serve English "tea" or just make a nod towards that with some little sandwiches or tea cakes.

One Mom gave the bridesmaid luncheon for the wedding party, and had been collecting blue delft like dishes for awhile, had the whole table decorated in white and blue. It was beautiful, and what a nice gift for the bride!

I would just for flowers for a centerpiece. In orange of course.

do check out Martha Stewart, she might have some great ideas that would be easily adaptable, is the wedding in the fall, or summer? check out fall decorations if that is right.

One thing I have noticed, nobody does the umbrella decorating thing anymore! I do not know why, I thought it was cute! So either find a real umbrella in orange or green , or with orange and green decorations. Or chose a plain one, and decorate it in orange and green.

Choosing a real umbrella for the bride and [using it for the gift table] would be a nice shower present for the bride. Sure, get one that opens automatically!

Or get paper umbrellas from a party store, and decorate however you want.

Are you an artist, do you know one? How about painting on the umbrellas? Paint Flowers in keeping with the decorations, or delicate orange blossoms would be cute. And what a great favor that would make! Tie some ribbons on it, it should be great! Just arrange them down the center of the table, one going one way, the next in the opposite direction.

www.orangeumbrellas.com - And these people have it all, from orange, to clear with an orange trim, to burnt orange, to paper, to child size paper ones.

Try places like Oriental trader, too.

Gee, the browser menu had pics of orange umbrellas!

Please do not have theme gift giving! Guests hate it. A round the clock shower, where everyone is assigned a time, and expected to pick a gift that is appropriate to use at that hour, or the alphabet shower, it is not even funny to be the person who gets "Z".

Have a whole house shower, or a "personal" shower, so the bride would get things like her favorite botanical, and some nice lingerie, not necessarily the naughty kind. I would not even limit it to lingerie shower. It is so restrictive! And not unique or different.

Decorated with wedding theme, or in your color scheme cookies or cake is not unique, but in orange and green it would! Try the cupcakes with a creamy surprise center [just cut a hole in the top of the unfrosted cupcake, put in some creamy frosting, and frost the cupcake. Simple, and good! How about using chocolate cake, and an orange cream filling?

Hi there!

Centrepieces - I think Gerbera's make lovely centrepieces, and come a a huge variety of colours, I just found this picture:

http://www.foreveryoursweddings.com.au/news/wedding-venues-gold-coast/

So just find some lovely vases and tie orange and green ribbon round them - and fill them with gerbera's (or any other flowers!)

Favors: It may sound cheap but try tictacts (afterall the colours are perfect!) Transfer them to a little celephane bag and finish of with ribbons! Although I wouldnt advise buying from this website as the prices seem to be very expensive!

Creative food ideas:

Not really something I know about! Maybe talk to a caterer (doesn't mean you have to hire one!) this is an idea??:

Games - I'm sure you can google a load of these!!!

Personal touches:

I love the idea of having old photos as name places! So when your guests reply to the invitation you should ask them to also send a photo of their childhood!

For unique details try this:

(this link also shows you how to make them, but you can buy them from lots of online shops if you'd rather)

Hope you have a great time!

Considering it is the bride and groom's 2nd marriage, almost definitely they have got everything they want for a house. Find out if they are registered at any place. If they don't seem to be a silver or crystal photo body, a set of crystal candlestick holders, a pleasant crystal or glass vase, or a certificate to a cooking class (or some thing they are able to do together). When you've got a home goods store virtually you finding crystal is effortless. Or which you could just get a present certificate to Lowe's or house Depot or a department retailer.

With that color scheme the first thing that comes to mind are fruit kabobs with cantaloupe & honey dew melon.

The centerpieces could be clear glass vases filled with fresh oranges & limes.
