I'm making my own but honestly the programs aren't one of my major concerns. I wasn't even going to have them in the first place but then I thought it would be nice.
I'm just printing them out on cream colored paper, then with stamps and gold ink, I'm going to stamp designs on them.
I think the scroll-style idea sounds cute!

You can make your own a lot cheaper than buying them, I think that is a great idea. You can print them out, punch two holes in the top, put brackets in them, and then tie a nice piece of ribbon together. You can also go and take a look at some nice ones at the store, and I'm sure you could get some easy ideas. Good luck!

I made mine, and I also made my best friends for her wedding last year.
I love the scroll idea.
I went to a stationary/office store and bought cardstock for the outside and then regular paper for the inside. I created the inside and outside using Microsoft Publisher (there are tons of free templates online and free clip art.)
I save them in 2 files, (outside and inside) and then took the flash drive back to the stationary store and they made all the copies for me. It was definitely cheaper than buying them!
I completed the program by using a fancy hole punch and some thin satin ribbon. I also have a paper trimmer and folder that comes in real handy.
There are also some other papers and materials you can use. One of my favorites is vellum which is a stiff but see through type of paper you can print text or designs on it. It's very versitile!
Good luck!

I think a lot of people make the programs themselves. If you want the booklet style, the easiest way to make it is on a single piece of paper. You set your document to have 2 columns, and then each column becomes one page. Check out these examples: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/CT101042981033.aspx
A great source for paper is this: http://paperandmore.com/cardstock/cat-cardstock.html?s=1
They have beautiful cardstock papers starting under $10 for 100 sheets.
If you want to spruce them up a bit, you can add ribbon or other embellishments.
I think I am going to try and get a letterpress cover to coordinate with my invitations, but then print the inside myself to save money. I plan to tie a ribbon on the left side to creat the "spine."

I'll be printing my own. I'm doing them like a booklet, folded with the order of the service inside.
I might use a bulletin cover from a church supply store - it has a wedding image on the front and you put your order of service on the inside.

I would have done it myself, just have them in ur wedding color theme paper and then put them wrapped in glasses on tables.
But at the end, of my wedding kept me so busy, that I just never had mine programmed, and my wedding just flown time everything in order and everybody had fabulous time! It's not necessary to have program - who would follow it? and expect things on time - more stress.

I'm making mine... But I'm going to copy this design:
I am going to go to Hobby Lobby and get paper and make my own......it doesn't seem that hard at all. This last week Hobbly Lobby was having a sale on their paper, I hear that they do the same sales every month. It was 50% off. You could just fold them or make them a rectangle with the transparent paper on top of them, also if you want to add ribbon, use a hole puncher and tie the ribbon on there.

I was just talking to a woman at work who is getting married and we discussed this very issue. She made her own and I guess it turned out really well (I haven't seen them yet). She designed them and then printed them on thick stock paper she got from Michael's. I guess she them bi-folded kind of like a restaurant menu. The whole thing cost her a little less than $100.
I'd give you more specifics but I haven't seen them yet. I will on Saturday though! Hope this helps.

People make their own all the time. Depending on your artistic abilities, they can look even better than many professionally printed invites. Places like Hallmark and Party City have catalogs of the Carlson Craft, etc invites.
