You could ask your son if he would like you to invite the family over for a nice meal if you are excited to meet them. Express to him that you want to meet her family so that he knows you are supporting them.

Why don't you just tell your son the you would like to meet them sometime and let him and his future bride figure it out. Sometimes the kids know that there is a natural conflict and choose to keep the in laws apart in order to keep peace in their lives. So let them decide how much interaction they want between you.

Talk with your son and his fiance. They should be included on this. And I do think you should be able to meet them befroe the wedding. Talk with them and then they can talk to her parents and maybe all get together for dinner. You could call your future daughter in law and ask her to invite her parents to your home ofr a nice dinner. this will be a relaxing environment for a first meeting! Hey- pretty soon u could be a grandma! AWESOME! lol

the two kids should introduce the sets of parents. if that's not possible, like they live far from you guys, then by all means, put out the welcome mat!
have them over for dinner or go out to dinner to celebrate the engagement.
you can do this if the kids are in town, just make them make the plans!
congrats!

You should do nothing. Your son should introduce you. Formal introductions are in order.

it can go either way, i guess. maybe you can set up a meeting through your son and have your son introduce you.
