It depends...you can have it over your face the entire service and then have it lifted for the kiss, you can have your father lift it when he "turns you over" to your groom, you can have the groom lift it when he "gets you" from your father.

But also know that the bride is not required to wear the veil over her face in a Catholic ceremony.

Now a days not too many brides wear the veil over the face. Though I did.. and it was removed after I was walked up the Ilse and given away by my Uncle. As in being presented to the groom, the one giving you away will lift the veil and give you a kiss on the cheek then the ceremony begins.

Usually lifted by the groom near the end of the ceremony

I didn't have the veil over my face when I got married. None of my cousins or their brides had the veils over their faces either. I think it's an antiquated tradition that needs to go.

usually it's the groom after the father of the bride gives her away. it was done to validate that he was marrying the right person (really!!)

The brides father does it when they have approached the altar rail, before he presents her to her husband to be.
